Another week full of Colombian Cracks starring around the world. In Europe, several leagues got under way this week along with a busy champions league and europa league qualifier schedule.
The tiger, Falcao, roared in France opening his goal scoring account in Monaco’s 3-2 victory over Toulouse.
In Mexico’s Liga MX Aviles Hurtado was the star of Monterrey’s 3-0 victory Tijuana. Aviles scored the first and second goal of the match against his former club. Then it was Lobos de BUAP’s 3-2 victory over Pachuca where not only Julian Quiñones, but also Luis Quiñones scored for Lobos. Last but not least, Hernán Urbano recorded a goal in Leon’s 2-2 draw against Cruz Azul.
In MLS action, Fredy Montero continued his great play for Vancouver in their 2-2 tie against Colorado as he scored the game tying goal in the 76th minute. Michael Barrios scored the lone goal for Dallas in their 3-1 defeat at the hands of Philadelphia.
Moving over to the Brasileirao in Brazil where Stiven Mendoza scored the second goal and eventual game winner for Bahia in their 2-1 victory over Sao Paulo.
However, the goal of the week belongs to Yimmi Chará who scored the game winning goal for Junior over Millonarios in Colombia’s Liga Aguila. The run to get behind the defender, the turn to eliminate the defender, and lastly the cool finish to the far post make this the goal of the week. Have a look!
